A Grade II listing meant that all elements needed to be considered appropriately and historically in the restoration and refurbishment of this important house.

Design Principles

Full lighting design, as well as kitchen, bathroom and joinery designs were to be carried out sensitively and with characterful elements for modern country living in this historic setting. An oak framed extension created a contemporary element with the main, older part of the house schemes to be layered and welcoming.

The Schemes

The reception spaces were kept atmospheric and warm with low level lighting and comfort as key elements. The seven bedroom suites were treated in a lighter manner for the family and guests alike, with soft, calming fabrics and finishes alongside fun patterns and colour. Bathrooms were designed with wallpapers and marbles for added character and interest.
