About the team

Studio Hooton was established by Emma Hooton, a graduate from the prestigious KLC School of Design. Emma started her career in South Kensington working for House &; Garden’s Top 100 designer, Hugh Leslie, before setting up Studio Hooton. She is often spotted speaking at interior design events such as Decorex, teaching masterclasses and is an active member of design industry committees.

As a studio, we are a friendly team of highly experienced interior architects, lighting designers, joinery experts, textile designers, creative leads and project managers. Our team extends to talented craftsmen and specialist tradesmen with whom we have longstanding relationships and who deliver to our exacting standards.

With interior design studio locations in both London and Winchester, our projects are based across the central south of England including London, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex.

Emma Hooton

Design Director

Emma established Studio Hooton over 10 years ago following graduation from the prestigious KLC School of Design in Chelsea. Emma started her career in South Kensington working with House & Garden’s Top 100 designer, Hugh Leslie, before setting up her own practice. She is often spotted speaking at interior design events such as Decorex, teaching masterclasses and is an active member of design industry committees.

Peggy Campbell

Project Coordinator

Canadian-born Peggy has been our brilliant project coordinator since 2016, with a passion for the best in client service within the busiest of environments. She has an MA in marketing and enjoys working in an industry that’s constantly evolving. “Every day is different which keeps it exciting. It’s also nice to see the pleasure good design brings.” Peggy loves dog walking in the beautiful Hampshire countryside as well as entertaining friends at home.

Charlotte Neave

Head of Design

Charlotte has been with Studio Hooton since 2014, she takes the lead on schemes and manages the team across all aspects of design. Growing up with architecture and restoration in the family inspired Charlotte to pursue a career in interiors, starting with a prestigious diploma from KLC School of Design where she won accolades as a top student. Charlotte is passionate about the finished result and enjoys working with the team through every fine detail to see the projects come together.

Mollie Butler

Senior Interior Designer

Mollie trained with an architect before becoming our studio expert in all things technical in 2016. From lighting design to joinery specification, she is passionate about the detail and loves seeing all these elements coming together. Inspired by quality craftsmanship and materials, Mollie loves the uniqueness of every project. When not designing at Studio Hooton, Mollie is a talented illustrator and takes inspiration from her worldwide travels.

Imogen Bottomley

Interior Designer

Immy’s interest in residential design started whilst she was studying Interior Architecture and Design at Nottingham Trent University. Since graduating, Immy has worked on both residential and commercial projects around the UK.  At Studio Hooton she is involved in all design aspects, from sourcing to technical drawings where she loves turning her designs into a reality. Experimenting with textures and details never ends for Immy as in her spare time she enjoys renovating her home in Oxfordshire.

Anna Jones

Interior Designer

Anna joined Studio Hooton in 2023 having studied Interior Architecture at Falmouth University. Immediately after graduating, she worked freelance during COVID, then for a high end design practice in the countryside. Anna enjoys all aspects of the individual projects she works on, from producing the drawings to putting together beautiful schemes. Anna loves the outdoor lifestyle and wild swimming, as well as taking part in various sporting competitions.

Anna Blaxland

Head of Partnerships

Anna joined the team at the start of 2024 and is forging exciting new relationships with like minded firms and individuals as well as consolidating existing ones.  She brings a wealth of experience and incredible industry knowledge having previously worked with Nina Campbell and Pierre Frey. Anna lives in Hampshire, enjoys the theatre, skiing and wild swimming.

Georgia Wheatley

Junior Interior Designer

Georgia studied Product and Industrial Design which included user experience design and inclusive design at Central St. Martins. She is using this almost daily when working on certain projects which may need alternative functions, not just beautiful schemes. Having grown up in Kuwait and Dubai, she loves to travel during her spare time.

Isabelle James

Design Assistant

Isabelle’s interest in interiors started when her family renovated some historic barn buildings at their home in The New Forest. This inspired her to study interior design at university where Isabelle was particularly drawn to working with period buildings and residential design. Isabelle loves to explore how different textures, colours and patterns can bring a room to life and spends much of her spare time exploring the new forest on her horses, where she takes inspiration from the stunning natural scenery.
