This substantial Georgian house in a picturesque Hampshire village has large scale proportions and overlooks stunning grounds which have been designed to attract and sustain wildlife.
We fully refurbished the property from the lighting design to the completed schemes to totally refresh and regenerate it for its new owners and their extended family. The feel was a more contemporary one using traditional skills from local craftsmen coupled with unique furniture and original fabrics and finishes.
The commission was to completely update the interior and in particular to make the large room proportions work for family life by creating layers of comfort and plenty of sociable seating for big gatherings
A contemporary aesthetic was coupled with bespoke joinery and furniture pieces to give a neutral yet interesting feel with details in fabric, art and finishes. The staircase was completely replaced with a stunning curved design leading up two floors to the attic.
The drawing room was reconfigured to create a spacious entertaining space as well as being comfortable for a smaller number on occasion.
The kitchen was a traditional, yet light feel with crittall panelling and doors designed and installed, opening through to a family snug space next door.
The bedrooms were fun and boutique in style with soft styling and worked for family, guests and their children.
An attic dormitory was designed and made with joinery to create three cosy children’s beds for fun sleepovers at the top of the house.
