– Project in Progress –

Set in its own 28 acres of formal gardens and paddocks, this Sussex house and estate takes inspiration from Queen Anne and Palladian influences, with classically proportioned windows, overhanging eaves and triple arch motifs. It is a stunning country house with generous spaces and a multitude of original features perfectly suited to family life and entertaining.

The Brief

Our clients want us to reimagine the interiors across all three wings, with full decorative schemes, bespoke furniture, joinery and art consultancy to all areas. This encompasses the guest and family accomodation, the substancial reception spaces, both formal and informal dining rooms, bedroom suites, bedrooms and bathrooms, games room, cinema, library pool house, guest cottage and extensive landscaped grounds.

Our design brief will consider all of the decorative works, furniture, furnishings and joinery, as well as including a complete art consultancy provision for all areas of this remarkable estate project.

Joinery

The proportions of the spaces in this property meant that cabinetry was essential to give structure and purpose to the spaces. There are two dining rooms and the informal one is show below with its beautiful dresser in a dark stained oak, with bespoke marble top and glass fronted cupboards. The Games Room was also completed with a library / media wall to accommodate books and board games and to create layers of character around this classic room. Further joinery was carried out in the bedrooms, library and study areas.
