Super Prime Interior Design

Learn how interior design is taken to another level in super prime properties with Alexander Leschallas of Radstock Property.

While ‘super prime’ interior design refers only to properties in the most exclusive neighbourhoods, every luxury property can achieve a super prime finish, according to Alexander Leschallas of prime estate agents, Radstock Property.

“When it comes to London’s super prime properties, think of Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair, as well as some of the best addresses in Notting Hill, Holland Park and Kensington and Chelsea. London’s most affluent areas. That said, you can still bring aspects of super prime property into real estate by giving it a super prime finish.

A good example is a house we recently sold in a desirable, albeit not super prime, SW7 mews. While perfectly liveable following a recent makeover, the young owner wanted to take the property to the next level with features you’d typically see in London’s most exclusive properties.

The extensive renovation works included converting a former garage, then study into a poker room and adding a bar to the dining space for social gatherings and events. Transforming everyday spaces into areas with unique uses and design elements is a defining feature of most super prime real estate.”

Alex’s tips to creating a super prime finish:

Collaborate with professional designers — creating a luxurious aesthetic that blends style and functionality tailored to your vision is a hallmark of super prime property.“When instructing an architect or interior designer, it can be helpful to work with one that’s familiar with the local planning system, especially if the property is listed, or in a conservation area or place of historic significance”

Add luxury amenities — creating ‘wow factor’ means including features such as a wine cellar, spa or gym, or home cinema to give it an exclusive feel.

Focus on craftsmanship — ensure every detail, from cabinetry to flooring is expertly crafted and meticulously finished and use premium fixtures and fittings to elevate the space. “No one buys a prime or super prime property without an interior designer’s input, unless they’re an interior designer themselves of course.”

Incorporate smart technology — install the best smart technology for convenience, security, and energy efficiency and ultimately, an easier, more luxurious living experience

Historic Plasterwork – Craft, care and future legacy
Recently our team spent a day with plaster specialists Locker & Riley. Not simply a factory tour or day out. We visited because we will be working with them on a number of projects this year, and it felt important that the whole studio understood what sits behind the plasterwork we so often specify. It turned into a much broader conversation about responsibility. About what we protect. And what we quietly damage.
